Client One Law Advocates
One Law Advocates is a law firm based in Bangalore, built around the philosophy of enabling access to justice, irrespective of social, financial, or political standing.
The project involved designing an interactive digital internship handbook for the firm to attract and hire the right kinds of young talent.
One Law wanted their raw content transformed into an engaging, highly visual experience. Given that the primary distribution of the handbook was intended to be digital, the design introduced several interactive, clickable buttons and features to make the reading experience more dynamic and involved.
One Law had a very specific vision for the tonality of the handbook in terms of both content and visual treatment and they approached me with a brief to “appeal to the street-smart backbenchers” without alienating the Straight-A frontbenchers. The design therefore incorporates several clever interpretations of their textual content, treating text-as-image, incorporating hidden messages and creating visual wordplay.
The design builds off of their existing brand colour palette and incorporates woodcut-style illustrations and vintage imagery to create the right blend between playful and sombre.
